Bag (Hand-made)
1 concept: Creative Simple and Efficient.
2 Main target: For women.

Aim:
We will design a bag with practical and easy holding bag

Cause:
Useful, Convenient, Eco bag

Key Limits:
1 Budget: ~$150
2 Time: careful plan is needed.
3 Skills: need to look at tutorial or get help

Exclusions:
1 complex design
2 too many of working (time)
3 spending too many money

Deliverable:
1 AIT
2 (second option) Busking

Possible Plan:
wk 1~2 -choosing product and planning
wk 3~4 -doing research, survey, and designing
wk 4~5 -buying materials and advertising (maybe survey on design)
wk 6~8 -making our product
wk 9~ -sale

Since someone else is doing our product as well as some problem with our product that we have found, we are planning to change our product.

So we are not doing eco-bag?
I have went to 2 printing stores and they said they don't have transfer ink:good quality ink and other printing is so expensive as well.
So we should use overseas store but delivery fee is the problem.
Anyway, lets have some discussion on today's lesson or before, if we are lucky enough to meet.

Calendar and/or Scheduler
We are going to design and make a creative simple and efficient calendar and/or scheduler.

ABOUT SURVEY
1) should we do both? or one of them? what will people buy most?
2) Diary
-should we include 1yr/2yr calendar
-what do people use? monthly/weekly/daily/address/memo
-does people more concern about cover design? inside design?

3) Calendar
-what size they prefer?
-where do they put?
-content: public day? school holiday?

PRODUCT
Our team will be producing a product called "IDEA BOOK". It is a small notebook that contains empty pages inside so that our target audience can place their ideas freely.

Cover of this IDEA BOOK will be designed by us and we will use recycling paper for the cover. We conducted a survey to find out customer's taste of book cover. By the result, they prefer simple design with human(animistic), animal and tree elements in it. So our design will be based on this three design elements. To achieve simple design, our team decided to have b/w designs.

Our target audience is young and creative designers in age group of 10~30 years old of both genders. It is a small business so we will be selling inside of AIT at Orange Angora. Our team will produce 60 idea books, which 6 designs and 10 idea books per each design, and sell all.



AIM
Our goal with this project is to sell all of our products and get $50 for total profit.
A purpose of making and selling this product is to show our design style and to have an experience of marketing. So in our future, when we are working for a company, our experience of designing and marketing will help a lot.

Our target audience will have nice designed IDEA BOOK for their creative new idea. Because designer's most concern is 'design' so with this attractive idea book they will be able to create and think of better idea.



CAUSE
In this country it is hard to find a shop that sells a small notebook with blank pages in reasonable price. Also notebook on sale in here is either boring and ugly or expensive. So our team decided to produce a reasonable priced IDEA BOOK with better design. For the design, our team will conduct a survey so that we can produce more marketable design for costumers. Therefore Our team can give an opportunity of using attractive and well designed idea book to our costumers.



KEY LIMITS
Our team had never experienced about marketing, managing, designing cover before. So we can't cover all of detailed works. Material used in this product is so expensive in Australia so we have to order overseas to make it cheap price. There is a lots of work to do, but only 3 member is in our team. With time managing, because its overseas order, we have to consider about delivery time. It will be 2 week of maximum to consider. Our budget limit is $150. Our team member will provide $50 each, so it is $150 of total budget.



EXCLUSIONS
In order to have simple designs, exclude colour designs.
We have to exclude spending more than $150.
No overprice. No one will buy then. We will keep the price lower than $10 per each.
Oversea delivery problems. ex)extra time spending.. so order earlier.



DELIVERABLE
First, we are going to survey to know our direction. ex)size, design style, price etc.
Second, we do market research ex)Price, samples, quality ...
Third, we design our IDEA BOOK cover.
Fourth, we make some sample product (just one for survey).
Fifth, we do another survey on design to know how many we are going to produce for each design.
Sixth, we produce our product. We send our design to print shop and produce.
Seventh, we make a location contract for selling with AIT.
Then we sell.

Hello guys
Today I asked about booking Orange area(AIT) to sell our products.
He said that it's no need to fill out a form but instead that, we need to make our own contract.

In our contract need to include
-Date & time
-Activity will be held (in our case selling product)
-Product detail
-Equipment that we need
-Students involved (who is selling on that day and time)
-Promise of making Orange area to be cleaned as usual
-Signing/Date section

I'll make this contract paper and get signed on this Friday.


+ And question about setting delivery place to AIT, it is possible but we need to aware about safety of product.
I think it will be best to deliver to our home and bring to AIT on sale date.
Since I have a locker, we can place in there before we sell.

+our team changed our deadline (of cover design) from today (Wed 07/12/2011) to tomorrow (Thur 08/12/2011).
The reason is that our team member wanted to spend more time on designing and get better design.

+we noticed that we need to send our design until tomorrow (Thur 08/12/2011) in order to collect our product before Christmas break. (mainly because of delivery time)
So we changed our plan from Friday (09/12/2011) to tomorrow (Thur 08/12/2011).
Because of this matter, we cancelled our 'making sample' scheduled on Thur (08/12/2011) and 'design survey' scheduled on Thur & Fri (8&9/12/2011).
Instead of "design survey" our team will discuss about our design and select 5 final design.
