The Project:
Our project is called “Gobang Game Competition”. Gobang is a chinese traditional game similar to five-in-a-row game. This game played with black and white stones, to win this game we have to arrange the stones become at least five-in-a-row with the same colour. We will held this competition at AIT campus. To play this game, people need to pay 5 dollars.

Plan :
Since this is traditional game, we will introduce and socialize this game to students first. We will bring the actual game and play it in the school, so people will be able to watch it. We will make the questioner sheet to see people's reaction of this game. We also will teach people how to play it and give free trial. And then we will collect the money at the same time, so if people interested, they can book place for the actual competition later. We will do this in the second week on August and it will be three days long.

The actual game itself will be held in September.

Aim :
We got this idea from previous game competitions, but we want to make ours different from others. Our Costumer would like to play this game because they want to refresh or release theirselves from gadget or internet for a while, since this game does not involve any technology.

Cause :
The reason that we make this "Gobang Game Competition", because these days people always playing game in their gadget, either is computer games or mobile phone games. We want to make some kind of refreshment that can make people feel the fun of playing traditional game. In addition, we think that holding this event, we do not need much more budget, yet we can earn more profit.

Key Limit :
We have never organize a game competition before and we are willing to learn how to organize the game event, manage to maintain the budget that we have, making marketing strategy and follow it in the right direction. We also gonna learn how to follow our plan and anticipate the difficulties that may appear during the project.

Exclusions:
We are not gonna use computer and we are not gonna do the competition outside AIT.

This game competition will be held in one of the rooms at AIT campus. The actual game will be held only for one day in September. Before we start the game, we will teach the players how to play the game, the rules, the score system and the prize. One set game includes two players and we will arrange the room for that. We get all the game sets from our friends.

This is the games event we had

We held the event on the 16 September 2011 at 4 PM in Orange Area, AIT Campuss.
It was not big event actually, because our project is very simple game competition. we divide the players became three rounds with 6 players each. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

We are pretty happy though, cause many people came to our event, at least more than 50% from what we expected. We also can earn some money that we need to recover our budget.
